Adding Teaching Moments to Your Story

Teaching moments are a great way to relate to people with a story.  On my site, alwaysbesellingsytem.com, many of my lessons use teaching moments that are relatable and story driven. For example, you can teach people healthy lifestyles by going over facts about nutrient macros, or you can tell a relatable story.  What do you think will be more memorable?

For me, personally, I went on a journey where I gained a bunch of weight in my early 30s and had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and from that moment on, I decided to make the change and to learn more about health, nutrition and exercise and put together a program that made sense for me.

When I relate that story people, can think, “Oh, okay, well that makes sense.” Maybe it triggered something in their head and they’re like, “Oh, yeah, my doctor said that I probably should make a change, too.” And now you’ve motivated them to make a change in their life.

A compelling story will drive a lesson home more than boring facts and directions.  A true teaching moment is relatable and is heartfelt.
