Enthusiastic Selling

As a salesperson, you always need to be in sales mode. In my previous video, I received a few comments saying that “Always Be Selling” wasn’t the way to go.

If you’re the owner of your business or a salesperson and you believe in your product, you always need to listen for those cue words that people could use your product.  If you believe in your product and you’re enthusiastic about it, then there should be no reason why the people that you come in contact with that have a need for the product shouldn’t buy it, right?

A lot of salespeople are afraid of being too pushy or too enthusiastic. What I like to tell people is “Please don’t confuse my enthusiasm for being pushy, because I’m enthusiastic about my product. I know it will help you, I know it will serve you well, and if you get it, you won’t be sorry that you did.” That is being elegant. That is being enthusiastic without being overly pushy.

It is very, very important that you are elegant and enthusiastic and don’t come across pushy. If you do tend to come across as being pushy, you preface your conversations with “Look, I’m just really enthusiastic about my program and my product, and I know you will really benefit from them both. That’s why I’m so enthusiastic. That’s why I want you to get involved in it.” Coming from the heart is  that the key to making sure you have more sales than you know what to to do with.

I hope that was helpful and puts a little more framework around the whole enthusiasm and always be selling concept. Always be selling, enthusiastic, don’t be overly pushy about it, but don’t be afraid to always be listening for opportunities to make that sale.
