How to connect with your prospects

Let me ask you a question. If you received an email on your phone, a letter in the mail, or a card in the mail, which will get your attention immediately?

Well, let’s see. I have like five emails that are unread so I just go through, oh, I don’t know that person. Delete. This looks like a bill or it’s a solicitation. I’m not quite sure if really want to open that so nope. Nope. What’s this? It looks like an invitation. I’m so excited. Oh my gosh. It’s merry and bright. Oh, it’s a card and actually it was a holiday card, but the whole point is who won’t open a card? It is such a great marketing idea.

My question for you is how do you create that instant connection with the people that you’ve met?

You have their addresses. You want to send them some information. The quick and easy thing is just to type out a little email, but chances are it’s not going to get read. It’s going to get deleted because that person isn’t quite sure who you are. Maybe they’ll respond to you, maybe they won’t unless they know you, like you, and trust you.

If you send a Facebook message, connect with them on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, that might get you some information, but what if they’re not responsive on those platforms?

What if you send them a letter, but it looks like a bill or some sort of solicitation? Writing out the letter and all that is going to be a little daunting because you have to put a stamp on it, take it to the post office or put it in the mail slot. So much work.

What about a card? A card is so easy that there’s automated services out there. I’m going to put a link down below for a great automated service that can help you out quite a bit. In sending those cards out, it’s less than actually going to the grocery store and buying a card and putting a stamp on it and all that. It’s so much easier to do. What would you prefer to do? Something that’s simple and easy and gets more attention or something that’s a little bit harder and doesn’t get people’s attention? I personally want the easy, more attention type of thing. That is what I would suggest that you do as well.

If you want to cut through the clutter, get to the person that you want to get to in that organization and make more connections and ultimately get more business, then I suggest getting a card service that you can send out cards very easily.

How do you increase your business and stand out from the crowd? Do something that nobody else is doing. I can guarantee you not many people are using a greeting card to get in front of their ideal customer. My suggestion for you is get on that and get on it quick and you can leave all your competition in the dust.
